Ponce de Leon is a small, no-traffic-light town of appx 2000 rural residents. It is home to the 433 acre Ponce de Leon Springs State Park, with Vortex Springs and Morrison Springs are also nearby. These 68 crystal-clear springs attract scuba and skin divers, swimmers, anglers and campers year-round. The underwater caves offer some amazing adventures! The Spanish explorer, Ponce de Leon, possibly passed through this area in the 16th century when looking for the “Fountain of Youth”.
